How many insurance companies does William Tuttle Agency work with?
Farmers is our primary carrier, and we hold appointments with more than twenty additional brokerage carriers. That range is why a risk another agent cannot place often still has a home here.
Is this an independent agency or a Farmers agency?
We are a Farmers Insurance Premier Agency. Farmers is our primary carrier, and we also place business with brokerage carriers when a risk fits them better. You get the Farmers relationship plus access beyond it.
What happens if one company declines my risk?
It goes to the next market that fits. A decline from one carrier is not a decline from the market, and you do not have to start over with a new agent to find out.
Do I have to call each company myself?
No. You talk to one licensed agent in our Owatonna office. We do the shopping across our carriers and bring you options you can actually compare.
Can you quote my classic car or custom build?
Usually, yes. Collector and custom vehicles go to agreed-value markets such as Hagerty and JC Taylor rather than a standard auto policy.
